Operation T-O-D Campaign OPORD

1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 16:40L 2 July 2018

Lighting: Day

Weather: Clear, unlimited visibility, possibility of sandstorms

Taliban Insurgents are causing havoc in Anizay Province, occupying important infrastructure, terrorizing the locals and even attacking US FOB’s. Zulu-Alpha has been tasked to help bring stability to the region and arrived in-country at 13:45 by C130. It took some time to get the plane unloaded and at 16H40 the troops are finally formed up on the ramp, Everyone is a little nervous. It’s Zulu-Alpha’s first Tour of Duty (T-O-D). The CO is about to announce which FOB they will be moving to. The crates needs to be loaded and transported to the new FOB by road through dangerous country. Every turn, every crest and every town could be an ambush. The roads are littered with IED’s. Every vehicle could be a bomb and any civilian could be a suicide bomber. FOB’s can be attacked at any time despite the fact that they are well guarded. It’s 45 degrees in the shade and the sand gets in everything, even your thoughts.

A. Enemy Forces:
Taliban insurgents are present over the whole 100 square kilometers. This includes infantry, light technical, mechanized infantry, APC’s and Armored vehicles. IED’s, car bombs, suicide bombers and enemy roadblocks are common. Expect open ground battles as well as CQB in towns. The Taliban is known to infiltrate important infrastructure.

B. Friendly Forces:

Zulu-Alpha is currently located at Landay Airfield. There are two FOB’s in Anizay to choose from. FOB Nauzad is more or less centralized on the map with FOB Obeh located to the North West.

Reaper and Ghostrider 3 will remain at the Airfield.

Landay Airfield staff can provide transport support with their Little bird (Callsign “Yellowcab”), UH_60M (Callsign “Greyhound”) and Chinook (Callsign “UPS”).

1) Equipment: Standard equipment. Day and Night. There are re-arm crates at every FOB

2) Surveillance: AR-2 Darter, (UGV Stromper at each FOB)

3) Ground Vehicles:

2x M1025,14 HEMTT Cargo trucks, and 2 x M1A2C Tusk II MBT’s at the Airfield.

Each FOB Has 4 X RG31E-M2 MRAP’s, 2 x M1130-CV-M2 APC’s, 2 x M1129-MC-MK19 Mortar Artillery, 3 x M1030 Motorcycles, 1 x HEMTT Medical Truck, 1 x HEMTT Repair Truck and 1 x HEMTT Fuel Truck.

5) Rotary Wing: 1 x MH_6J_Little_Bird, 1 x MH_60L_DAP_2Pylons at the Airfield and at each of the FOB’s

6) Naval: None

C. Civilian Presence: Civilians are present in all town and rural areas. Avoid unnecessary civilian casualties but be aware that civilians are known to built IED’s in their homes. Civilians in Anizay have been know to strap on a suicide vest.

2. Mission

1. Move your equipment from Landay Airfield to one of the established FOB’s
2. Stabilize Anizay Province by eliminating Taliban forces from infrastructure, as this cripples the economy. The Taliban may re-occupy these structures.
3. Eliminate Taliban camps, Roadblocks, IED Manufacturing sites (mostly run by civilians in their homes), Eliminate Taliban recruitment center’s in towns, Defuse roadside IED’s and car bombs.
4. Since there are no set and marked objectives apart from the main infrastructure marked on the map, the CO will decide whether to act on recovered intel or clear a certain sector of the map. This will be conveyed to personnel in following FRAGORD’s
5. When in a FOB under attack, defense of the base should take precedence to avoid loss of equipment

3. General Instructions

1. Always check around downed enemy soldiers for dropped intel.
2. Building materials for new FOB’s need to be collected from Ahmed’s Building Materials

4. Specific Instructions

1. The CO should announce an assembly point at the FOB and players should try and end their mission there. Preferably in the position you would normally spawn.
2. Reaper and Ghostrider 3 slots will remain at Landay Airfield.
