    1. SITUATION

    Situation Time: 00:00L 10 August

    Lighting: Night, dark moon

    Weather: Clear, unlimited visibility.

    It’s three days after the failed attempt to retake the airfield at Loy Manara. The decision to bypass the small town of Loy Manara without completely clearing it and attack the airfield, left Zulu-Alpha’s Dragon 1 between a rock and a hard place. After successfully retreating to Dragon 3’s position, Zulu-Alpha has regrouped for a second attempt to retake the airfield. This time the attack will take place at night.

    A. Enemy Forces:

    Since our withdrawal there has been an increase in enemy movement around the airport. It is expected that they have re-enforced their numbers as well as QRF’s. Enemy is still present in the town of Loy Manara.

    B. Friendly Forces:

    Zulu-Alpha has relocated to the valley at Naran Darre pass

    3) Ground Vehicles: 3x HMMWV M1151 M2, 1x HEMTT Repair, 1x HMMWV Ambulance, 4x HMMWV M1152 ECV

    6) Naval: None

    Other friendly forces: None

    C. Civilian Presence: Civilians have fled most of the region after the previous skirmish.

    2. Mission

    1. Retake the airfield by any means possible
    2. Command has requested that we attempt to leave the airfield in an operational state, however the successful re-capture of the field and our training helicopters take precedence.
