Scheduled for Sunday 28 April 2019
Situation Time: 05:30L
Lighting: No Moon, First light at 05h55, Sunrise at 06h30.
Weather: Heavy rain, with clear skies forecast after dawn.
With the destruction of the 1st Aviation flight and Flotilla, the DPP’s mobility has been crippled. The CDP political prisoners have not been rescued, however, the political gain of rescuing them was not necessary to recruit enough troops to complete phase 3 of the campaign.
The 1st Marine Company (callsign Tiger) of the CDP has been activated and will be the first major boots on the ground of the Eastern island, and with the aid of Zulu-Alpha, will secure a beachhead and inland stronghold in order to open up the rest of the island to further attack.
The beachhead selected will be the village of Bibung, as it’s a defensible LZ with a sizable enough village to sustain a large garrison, which will be Objective Spanner. A hill just to the North East of that with WW2 era fortifications controls the forested area separating the coast from the open inner parts of the island and provides an outer defence for the beachhead. This will be Objective Wrench. The final objective will be the town of Kambani, which is just beyond the forested area and sits at a crossroads, providing easy access to any part of the Eastern island, making it vulnerable and allowing the CDP to fully exploit their beachhead by taking targets further inland. This will be objective Hammer.
A. Enemy Forces:
The DPP has deployed they’re newly activated platoon, the 3rd Infantry platoon, consisting of approximately 40 motorized men, with 2 HMMWVs and 3 Trucks, along the western coast. They have been split up into what appears to be 3 squads and several HMMWV patrols along the Western coast and in the way of our invasion, occupying the coastal villages of Minanga, Bibung and a resort between them. They are expected to delay an invasion as the rest of their platoon moves via the coastal road to counter it.
Deeper inland, the 1st Infantry platoon, a BTR-60 platoon of 4 vehicles and 24 dismounts are held in reserve and are expected to be deployed in a counter-attack as a reaction to, an invasion once it is clear that the 3rd Infantry platoon won’t be able to hold us.
The remaining units on the island are support and logistical units at Gurun airfield and do not appear to be in a state of readiness, so should not be involved in the fight.
DPP units remain at an approximately 30% watch during the night when not conducting operations, with the rest of them sleeping.
B. Friendly Forces:
The CDP 1st Marine Company consists of 2 platoons of 24 men armed with AK-74s, M-16s, M249s, PKMs, FN FALs and RPG-7s, which is a mix of captured DPP, and imported Vietnamese equipment. They will be transported via 2x LCVPs, waiting in a ready state off the coast of Nurul. They are waiting for Zulu-Alpha’s clearance to set off to they’re designated LZs at Objective Spanner, which will take them approximately 15 minutes to reach. They will continue on to Objective Wrench then on to their FUP, just West of Obj Hammer, in the forest. Once Zulu-Alpha clears them to do so, they will then continue on to and occupy Obj Hammer.
Zulu-Alpha has been relocated on board the U.S.S Liberty, which has sailed to the Northern end of the Western island, in order to get into optimal striking distance. Onboard is they’re UH-60 DAP, 1x Speedboat, 1x SDV and 2x Assault Boats at the rear ladders. On the mainland at Monyet airfield is an Mi-8MTV3, C-47 Skytrain and Cessna TTx.
1) Equipment: Standard equipment + Wetworks.
2) Surveillance: 1x Micro UAV
3) Ground Vehicles: None
4) Fixed Wing: 1xC-47 Skytrain, 1x Cessna TTx
5) Rotary Wing: 1x UH-60 DAP
6) Naval: 1x Speedboad, 1x SDV, 2x Assault Boat

C. Civilian Presence: Large civilian presence expected at all towns.
- Ensure a successful landing of the CDP.
- Assist the CDP in securing Objectives Spanner, Wrench and Hammer.
- Ensure minimal civilian and friendly casualties.
3. General Instructions
Do not advance any further East than Obj Hammer and do not engage enemy forces at Gurun airfield.
4. Specific Instructions
Once you have prepared the AO for Tiger’s arrival, order them to commence their attack. Note that they have no night vision, so choose the time of day wisely.
Once they reach their FUP for the final leg of their attack before Obj Hammer, order them to attack it once Dragon is ready to support them.
