Scheduled for Sunday 15 July 2018

    Situation Time: 05:45hrs

    Lighting: Dawn

    Weather: Clear, unlimited visibility

Yesterday, ISIS forces ambushed an Iraqi army convoy carrying a shimpment of 6x FGM-148 Javelin CLUs and 24x FGM-148 Javelin tubes.

An informant provided the following picture several hours later:

These images show the tubes crate (left) and CLU crates (2x Clus per crate) (right), showing that ISIS forces had successfully extracted the Javelins and it’s ammo from the convoy before they destroyed the vehicles. These crates are known as the Packages

Centcom deems these Javelins as a high priority threat to coalition and government operations in the area and can be sent abraod to be used in terrorist attacks of high value targets. ISIS is planning on shipping these packages out of the area within a matter of hours, therefore this mission is time sensitive and critical.

To this effect, a local arms dealer closely associated with ISIS named Amir Mohammadi , has been marked for capture and interrogation, as several informants have identified him as the man currently assisting ISIS with shipping the the packages out of the area.

Zulu Company, Alpha Platoon. operating out of AFB Kinduf has been tasked with this mission.

    A. Enemy Forces:

Amir Mohammadi is usually inside one of 4 enemy strongholds during most of the day, however, there is a small window of oppertunity at 06h00L where he sets off in a convoy from the Eastern most stronghold codenamed Stronghold Snail, along the MSR to the North Western most one codenamed Stronghold Cockroach.

    Amir Mohammadi
    Amir Mohammadi (rear left seat)

He drives in a Black Skoda Octavia and usually has an escort of one Datsun 620 Pickup with several armed guards in the back. The convoy makes no stops along it’s route.

The convoy passes two other strongholds, one of which was an ambandoned FOB, codenamed Peloton Camp Basean and Stronghold Centipede. Each stronghold has an area of responsibility in the AO and is expected to dispatch a QRF to any point in this area of responsibility that is under attack.

Each stronghold usually consists of several squads of motorized enemy forces which is expected to be used as their QRF as well as a garrison force of infantry and DShK emplacements for defence.

    B. Friendly Forces: Zulu-Alpha is located at AFB Kinduf.

    C. Civilian Presence:  There is a small to moderate civilian presense along the MSR. Civilains in the area are expected not interfere with the operation as they effectively indifferent to the ISIS presence.

    2. Mission

    1. Find the convoy carrying the HVI (Amir Mohammadi), ambush it and extrack the HVI back to AFB Kinduf for interrorgation.
    2. Conduct a direct action raid to get positive ID of and destroy all 4 packages (total of 6x FGM-148 Javelin CLUs and 24x FGM-148 Javelin tubes)

    3. Execution

    1. Command recommends avoiding an ambush of the HVI convoy near one of the strongholds in order to avoid engaging their forces.
